Elle Edwards
Founder - UCAT SpecialistHi, I’m Elle, founder of the MedScienceTutoring and a Graduate Entry Medicine student at King's College London. I graduated in 2025 with a First Class BSc in Neuroscience at University of Bristol.
I achieved A*A*A at A Level (Maths, Physics, DT) and scored 3180 Band 1 in the UCAT in 2024(equivalent to 2385 Band 1 in the new scoring system). My UCAT and A-level grades gave me confidence going into the application process. It took effort at the time, but made the process feel a lot less stressful.
I received offers for Imperial College London PCSM, Newcastle, and King’s College London.
My specialist areas are UCAT preparation and medical school interviews, and this tutoring service began naturally after I was approached by students looking for help following my UCAT result. Over time, that developed into regular tutoring, and from there grew into a wider service designed to connect students with tutors who each have their own specialist strengths.
One of the main reasons I wanted to build this was because when I was preparing for my own application, many tutoring options felt large, expensive, and quite impersonal, often with little flexibility or direct communication. I wanted to create something that felt more approachable, where students can speak directly with their tutor, ask questions openly, and receive support that is genuinely tailored to them rather than delivered through a rigid system.
Over the past year, I have worked with students at different stages of the admissions process, helping with UCAT strategy, interview technique, and wider application advice. This has included building confidence, improving technique, and helping students understand what medical schools are genuinely looking for, while adapting sessions to each person’s strengths, challenges, and target universities.
I strongly believe that everyone should have access to that extra bit of guidance when they need it. You may need some extra confidence, improved exam performance academically, or some advice to make the process clearer and less overwhelming. The aim of this service is to make high quality support feel accessible, flexible, and personal, while matching students with tutors best suited to the help they need.
Amy Dobbins
Hi, I’m Amy, a Graduate Entry Medicine student at King’s College London with a degree in Biomedical Science. I achieved A*A*A in my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and RS.
Alongside my studies, I work with MedScienceTutoring, supporting students in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as A-level Biology and Chemistry. Through both my academic background and tutoring experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how to explain difficult concepts clearly and help students improve their confidence and exam technique.
Sessions are tailored to you and what you need help with, whether that’s going over difficult topics, working through exam questions, or preparing for upcoming assessments. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re interested, I’d be happy to have a chat and go from there.
